ECC to S/4HANA Migration

Get a detailed picture of what you are carrying into your SAP S/4HANA landscape

SAP SAP/4HANA gives your business a digital presence far ahead of SAP ECC. However, you need not rush ahead with migration just to stick to the deadline. Move with an evidence-backed roadmap of what is in your ECC system, which path is right for you, or what it will realistically cost.

Percipere answers all three questions before you commit to anything.

It is not the deadline. It is uncertainty.

Every business still on SAP ECC knows it needs to move. The 2030 mainstream support deadline is not news. What holds most organisations back is not awareness — it is three questions they cannot answer with confidence:

Percipere solves all three—before you commit to a migration path, a partner, or a budget.

ECC systems accumulate decades of process debt—workarounds that became workflows, custom code that nobody remembers writing, and data that has never been cleansed. Most organisations only discover this after migration, when it is expensive to fix.

Our Phase 0 assessment uses FUTUROOT, our AI-powered process intelligence platform, to surface exactly what is in your ECC landscape prior to you committing anything. The output is not a sales proposal. It is the evidence base you need to make the right decision and take it to your board.

The Three Migration Paths

Greenfield. Brownfield. Selective. We help you choose the right one.

There is no single right path to S/4HANA. The answer depends on your ECC landscape, operational complexity, timeline, and appetite for change. Percipere assesses all four before making a recommendation.

How We Start

Before we recommend anything, we assess everything.

A Phase 0 assessment is a focused, time-bound engagement — typically four to six weeks — that gives you and your board a clear, evidence-based picture of your migration options before you commit to anything.

Here is the roadmap:

15,409
Process variants found in one ECC system before migration
66%
Master data reduction achieved pre-migration
25+
S/4HANA projects delivered
2027
SAP ECC mainstream support end date

Baramati Agro is a ₹6,000+ crore agro-industrial leader running six lines of business — sugar, poultry, animal feed, and food processing among them — across 310 plants and 15 fragmented SAP company codes built up over 15 years. Almost every transaction started outside SAP, in farmer apps, supplier portals, and banking platforms, which meant 10 external parties all had to be ready on the same day, or none of it would work.

Percipere engineered a Bluefield-hybrid migration to consolidate 15 company codes into 7, deployed FUTUROOT to cleanse and re-map hundreds of thousands of master records, and orchestrated all 10 external parties into a single, simultaneous Big Bang go-live — 310 plants and 407 users, live on day one, nine months from kickoff.

The Timeline

The 2027 window is narrowing. Here is what that means in practice.

A Phase 0 assessment gives you the evidence to make the right migration decision — path, cost, timeline, and risk — before you commit anything. Most assessments are completed in four to six weeks.
